This week's lecture we focused on how presence and immersion affects the experience of virtual reality. Slater, M., & Wilbur, S. (1997) stated that immersion is "the extent to which technology is capable of delivering a vivid illusion of reality to the senses of a human participant." VR chat is an example of immersion into the virtual world, by using a VR headgear, it provides the user a feeling being inside a VR world.
